Peak Well Systems new SIM^ULTRA Retrievable Bridge Plug incorporating MetaPlex seal technology and its associated setting/retrieval tool, the PowerTool, were put through their paces by Peak’s experienced field specialists last week.

The in-well test, part of a planned programme of testing on the new technology, was highly successful. Testing included the successful setting and retrieval of the SIM^ULTRA Plug – retrieval made super easy as the MetaPlex seal retracted to 110% below its original OD as engineered.

The PowerTool’s emergency release function was also successfully tested affirming the products recovery reliability.
