Following several successful project collaborations, on January 5, 2017, Schlumberger announced the acquisition of Peak Well Systems.

This is certainly an exciting chapter in our company development and one that also presents our valued customers with a number of benefits going forward.

The high level of service customers currently enjoy from Peak will be maintained, if not improved, and will remain our top priority. In fact, with Schlumberger’s support and market reach, we aim to further improve service delivery and to better meet all our customers' specific well intervention needs.

Integrating Peak's product portfolio within Schlumberger's service offering will allow our customers to continue to access Peak products individually, while giving them the opportunity to access these technologies as part of an integrated service offering, a true one-stop shop for production services.

Commenting on the acquisition, Nigel Avern, chief executive officer, Peak Well Systems, said, “Schlumberger’s acquisition of Peak is extremely positive news for both companies and for the industry in general."

We have been working closely with Schlumberger on several collaborations and initiatives during the past year and what has become clearly apparent is our compatibility. This is a natural fit for both companies and one which will ultimately benefit our customers.”
